The Voice of the Forest (Band) was a band I was part of in the late 1980's dedicated to broadcasting awareness of the plight of the Amazon Rainforest, as it was being destroyed by ventures that came in and stripped the land for manufacturing and meat producing purposes. Contributing members at the onset were Go Strealy (Vocal and keys), Mo Hennessy, Michael Amitin (Bass), Jack Wride (Drums). Vocalists added for this album, Len Calina (also violin on "Everglade") and Barbara Robbins. The feel was Afro-Caribbean.
